Why Your Organisation Should Join Missions Interlink

Joining Missions Interlink will provide your organisations with a number of privileges and many other benefits through collaboration and being part of a wider community of God’s people with a passion and involvement in global mission. By working together the capacity of each organisation is increased as they support churches’ engagement in global mission.

Together we:

• promote and showcase global mission opportunities and needs
• demonstrate integrity through compliance with high standards
• equip, train, care for, and mobilise our workers
• build credibility through advocacy
• create efficiencies and partnership
• present our common needs and concerns to government
• gather and share information and resources

All Missions Interlink Associates and Members receive the following privileges:

• Representation and advocacy on matters of mutual concern at a national/government level
• Access to specialised information and resources
• Access to up-to-date news and events from the Australian and International missions community
• Participation in and reduced registration fees for national and state MI events such as ReachOut, Mission Matters,  Activate and MI training programs
• Opportunities for collaboration, networking and fellowship with other agencies
• Promotion of events on MI website and through MI state networks
• Discounted insurance for long-term travel from EA Mission Care
• Discounted corporate travel insurance through MI group travel policy
• Access to unlimited advertising of employment and short & long term mission opportunities on Mission Seek.
• Priority access to the Aldinga Beach Retreat

About Membership

We are a membership-based organisation currently made up of over 140 Associate and Member organisations.

Associates

We invite any Australian organisation, church, training college, or ministry, with a significant interest or involvement in cross cultural mission, that can agree with the MI Standards (including Statement of Faith and Core Values) and MI Regulations to become an Associate of Missions Interlink. How to join.

Members

MI Associates that are incorporated within Australia and accept and adhere to the Missions Interlink Accreditation Standards are eligible to apply to become Members of Missions Interlink.

Only approved Members are entitled to:

• Use the Member of Missions Interlink and Standards Compliant logos on stationery and publications.
• Exemption from Australian income tax for organisations and personnel serving overseas, through recognition by the ATO as a member of a prescribed institution under Section 50.50 (d) of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1936 [Income Tax Assessment Regulations 1997 (SR198)].
